….Her hearts and fish are floating on paintings. While watching them you are looking through the windows of an amazing metaphysical aquarium that cannot leave you indifferent. And what can you see there? The tranquillity of perfect creatures. Or – is it a reflection of a desire for perfection ?
The viewer might have a feeling that some of these paintings carry a message comprehensible only to him. Hi is not mistaken. Each one of the new paintings created by Milena Mijovic Durutovic will encounter its perfect viewers. Because, ultimately, Milena has succeeded in something that has been, from time immemorial, the intention of art in general – she has placed before the man , before the one who is watching – a perfect mirror.
A mirror in which heart is looking at itself.
